Stuck in a Rut

So I've hit that point where I've been distracted by games again. I have been doing some stitching in the evenings but no where near as much as I would have liked to have done. I've finished off my second colour of thread, which I managed to do pretty quick. I was actually on a roll with it all until my day off where I ended up cleaning (yes I know has to be done)and going to keep an eye on my parents dog.

Once the second colour was finished it looked like this:

You can really see where the bears features are beginning to appear in this picture. I'm half way through the third colour now, this is where I am now:

I'm hoping that once my free game time has run out I'm ready for stitching again. I really hope I can get out of this rut and get on a roll again and get some stitching done =]

Still had no votes on what I should stitch next, come on people I need your help!!

Me to You Catch Up

So, I'm about back on track with my stitching. I haven't been able to stitch as much as I've wanted to with just being too tired and not wanting to make any more mistakes.

It took me a good few hours to unpick everything last time, (I did have a break for my tea as well though). I started up again straight away with not wanting to get too far behind. I've been stitching most nights for a couple of hours whilst watching TV, so it doesn't seem like a chore to do.

The biggest problem I've had all week is my thread snapping. Having to unpick so much has definitely weakened the thread. Fingers crossed I've reused all of that thread now so it should be plain sailing from now on. So this is where I am at the moment.

I've also been getting ahead of myself and looking at new projects for after this one, I've decided I'm going to do something Christmas related I'm just not sure what, so I would appreciate your ideas and I'll do the one that most people think =]

Baby Sampler

When my best friend found out she was pregnant I wanted to get the baby something special that they could keep as they grew up. so I decided I was going to do a baby sampler for them.

I am a big Me To You fan and I think the Tiny Ted pictures are really cute so I had already decided I was going to do one of those samplers. it was just a matter of choosing which one. Knowing how long it takes me to do projects sometimes I decided I would buy one before we knew the sex of the baby so it would be done in time. I could do the design then put the details on after baby was born, as it wouldn't take too long to do.

It actually took me a while to get started on the design as I was really hooked on my Pokemon project, but I finally got started on it completing one of the colour in hardly any time at all. I came to a halt after that being really busy at work and I ended up playing on the Xbox a lot, when I did have any free time.

Well time was counting down and I still had the majority of the design still to stitch so I thought I better get started on it again with less than 2 months to the due date. Over the past few days I have done quite a bit of stitching on it, I also realised that I went wrong quite a while ago so I've had to unpick loads and start again from where it's right.

This is where I am after all my hard work has been undone, you can just about see where I've unpicked the stitches.

I'm hoping to carry on with this and fingers crossed I don't go wrong again and I finish it before baby is born, as well as my Pokemon project. Hopefully I can get a decent amount done before it starts getting busy at work and I have no free time.

Pokemon Project

After finally transferring my photos from my phone to the laptop (which took several hours), I decided to post about my main unfinished project (UFO).

I decided to stitch the generation I Pokemon after seeing the link for the chart on a friends Facebook, after he started stitching characters and logos from games. Being a big kid and all that I decided that I'd give it ago. I'd never tried doing another other than an actual kit before, so for me it was quite a big thing. The hardest part was writing down all of the threads that I needed to order, 105 colours in total!

The pattern was created by Servotron, along with other Pokemon patterns that can also be found on the site, as well as many other game patterns created by many people. I started it in February stitching on and off between work, playing games and other UFO's. I'm currently on the 3rd page of the pattern (I decided to be difficult and stitch the Pokemon in order, so started from the last few pages of the design). I've not stitched any more of it for a while, I'm trying to focus on a baby sampler than I am stitching for my best friend's first baby.

I am planning on posting about my other UFO's as well as keeping you updated about my Pokemon one. I would appreciate any feedback, as I am new to this and would like to know where I am going wrong and what I'm doing well. I would also like to know what else you would like to see on here.
